We recently got informed by the Food Administration in Sweden that our Blue Spirulina (phycocyanin) has officially been classified as a new food in Europe, and is therefore not yet included in European Unions list of "Novel Foods".

This is what happens to all new foods entering the European market after 1997.

The same thing happened to Chia Seeds when they boosted in popularity a couple of years back. It is strictly bureaucracy that needs to be taken care of, and it does not imply that our Blue Spirulina is dangerous to consume in any way. It just means it is really popular and needs to be added to the list of official foods in the continent.

Phycocyanin (a key component of Blue Spirulina) is already approved in North America, Asia, and Australia, but unfortunately, the EU is a bit behind in this case.

To solve this we are currently working hard on a NEW Blue Spirulina formula that is approved for the European market according to the current regulations.

More information on launch date and pre-orders is coming soon.
